Brussels Business City Guide: Brussels restaurants
The historic centre of Brussels has over 300 restaurants serving up local delicacies and exotic cuisine. Just a five-minute walk from the government offices and ten minutes from the European Union is Rue des Bouchers, the city’s restaurant row where just about every establishment is recommendable. Outside the old city, restaurants are less centralised but still abundant.

Most restaurants offer both meat and fish, and vegetarian options are often available. With such ample choice, pay close attention to the specialities of the house. Classic local fare to watch out for includes lapin à la gueuze (rabbit in beer sauce with prunes), moules-frites (mussels with French fries) and waterzooi (creamy fish stew).
