Gothenburg
Business City Guide: Gothenburg restaurants
Sweden’s west coast is famous for fish, seafood and high-quality cuisine in general. Gothenburg is where you'll find the finest restaurants in the region. The thriving food culture is acknowledged by the many awards – like Chef of the Year – bestowed on the city's top chefs and restaurants. Three have been rewarded with Michelin stars: Fond, 28+, and Sjömagasinet. The majority of restaurants is located on or around Avenyn.
Although the Swedes have become more cosmopolitan in recent years – enjoying the occasional lunchtime glass of wine or midweek night out – the norm is still work hard all week and let your hair down at the weekend.
