Paris Business City Guide: Paris transport
Individual tickets for metro/RER/bus within the city limits cost €1.30, or €10 for a pack of 10. One ticket per journey. Transfers allowed between metro and RER lines, but not between buses. Hold ticket until exiting transport. La Défense requires a Zone 3 ticket. Airports require Zone 5. Paris Visit pass available at all stations for unlimited travel for 1, 2, 3 or 5 consecutive days. Zones 1–3 costs €8.35–€26.25. Zones 1–5 costs €16.75–€45.70 and includes airport journeys.

Metro runs 5.30am–12.30am. RER 5.30am–midnight. Buses 6.30am–8.30pm. Night buses 1am–6am, departing Châtelet. Additional information on public transport in Paris is available at www.ratp.fr .

There are 470 taxi stands around Paris. Difficult to catch a taxi on street, easiest at hotels. Day, night and outside-the-city rates are displayed in each car.
